Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Stewardship of Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum operations is strengthened by Two Rivers Historical Society [TRHS] and Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum, Inc. [HWT&PM] teaming up to guarantee ongoing stability for HWT’s building and collections.

At the end of December 2021 these Two Rivers, WI entities legally separated. Their agreement guarantees that HWT&PM will always remain in Two Rivers. The activity was generously funded by the Logan Foundation of Chicago. Funds for the separation purchase will support TRHS’s preservation and promotion of local history in the community. HWT&PM continues its commitment to protect printing history collections, and to use them for the public good.

TRHS and HWT&PM are proud of their roots, and excited to share their good news!
Don Konop, Board President, Two Rivers Historical Society, says of the change:
“The Hamilton Wood Type Museum & Printing Museum, Inc. will operate separately from the Historical Society. This will make it easier for funding and assuring the Wood Type Museum donors that funds given will only support the operation of the Wood Type Museum. We will still work with all the museums in Two Rivers to promote and advertise our wonderful museums.”

“We are grateful to the museum’s founders–Two Rivers Historical Society–for this opportunity to advance the work they started. Our offerings and our staff have grown enormously, and management needs for the museum have naturally increased as well.
