Mead

seeking a highly motivated senior cultural resource specialist/project manager
to join our established team of architectural historians. This exciting

Responsibilities
will consist of completing and leading Section 106 compliance projects,
including research and survey efforts, evaluation of cultural resources, and
report preparation; guiding preparation of historic contexts and thematic
studies; managing projects, project teams and clients; business development
activities, including proposals and professional organization involvement.
Preferred locations for this position would be based in one of our existing
offices in Raleigh, NC, Madison, WI, Minneapolis, MN, Austin, TX, Denver, CO,
Tulsa, OK, or Sacramento, CA. However, we want to find the most qualified
person that can contribute to our team, and we are open to other locations
throughout the U.S. and the possibility of remote work depending on candidate
experience and qualifications. A valid driver’s license some travel will be
required no matter your location.
The
successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in historic preservation
or a related field such as history, architectural history, public history;
AND at least twelve years of relevant experience
OR
- Master’s degree in historic preservation
or related field such as history, architectural history, public history;
AND at least ten years of relevant experience
The
ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
- Research and resource identification of
the recent past and/or topics related to underrepresented groups
- Cultural resource management activities
for Section 106 compliance
- Historic bridge evaluations and
rehabilitation management experience
- Transportation projects, including Section
4(f)
- Project management experience, including
leading a team, client management and adhering to schedule and budget

Starting
Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other
