The City of Austin Planning Department has two (2) career opportunities in the historic preservation team for those seeking a to make a difference in preserving our past. We seek motivated individuals to lead various historic preservation projects as part of a talented team of historic planners. The positions offer the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a multitude of historic projects at various scales. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and a passion for preserving our history, identity, and heritage.  Experience and/or background in a historic preservation related field such as architecture, history, archeology, anthropology, research, city planning, or land use is preferred.
