Position Description:
The City's Heritage Preservation
section within the City Planning Department is currently recruiting for an
Associate Planner, which may be underfilled with a Assistant Planner or Junior
Planner. The Heritage Preservation Program is responsible for planning and
implementation under the City’s General Plan and Historical Resources
Regulations. This position will review development projects impacting
designated and potentially eligible historical resources and evaluate and
process individual historic resource nominations. With the supervision of the
Senior Planner, this position will also work on implementing the City’s Mills
Act Program. The position will also assist with the development of heritage
preservation planning documents and the processing of new historic districts.
