Job: Architectural Historian needed to Support Cultural Resources Management at Fort Knox (Fort Knox, KY)
Historic Preservation Blog from PreservationDirectory.com - job post, Fort Knox,

Title: Cultural Resources Management Specialist
Location: Fort Knox, Kentucky
Monthly Salary: $5,000.00 - $6,041.67

The Center for Archaeological Studies at Texas State University has a job opportunity to support operations and historic preservation at U.S. Army Fort Knox in Kentucky.  Our center  has a long-term contract with Fort Knox in Kentucky and we have a job posting for an Architectural Historian who would work on base at Fort Knox and provide Section 110 and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act assistance for base operations and cultural resource management needs. You would work surrounded by historic architecture as the base was originally founded for Cavalry training and housing during WW1 and has built out, not over, as it expanded. The job would be typical 40 hours/week. Given the long-term nature of the support services contract, this would be a stable position, and though stationed in Kentucky you would have full Texas State University benefits (retirement, health, dental, vision, life etc insurance with health insurance fully covered for employee by University, only dependents would be added employee cost, vacation and sick leave, all Federal holidays and the University closure days over winter break paid and off). An added bonus, there are potential for employees to continue education through Texas State and for any employees with dependents, Texas State offers 1/2 off tuition for dependents if they attend Texas State.
