The CITY-COUNTY of BUTTE-SILVER BOW, MONTANA, on behalf of
the CITY-COUNTY’s Community Development Department, hereby issues this Request
for Proposal (“RFP”) seeking professional services to assist in developing a Subgrant
Program for the FY2023 Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grant funding
received by Butte-Silver Bow in September of FY2025.
The intent of this National Park Service program is to
provide funds to the recipient (referred to as prime grantee) that is regranted
to projects that have been selected through a locally administered competitive
process. Prime grantees determine the focus and criteria for their subgrant
program and develop their own application process and criteria for choosing
which buildings will receive subgrants.
Subgrants will be made available to owners of buildings
that are currently contributing to the Butte-Anaconda National Historic
Landmark District (NHLD). Specifically, subgrants will be targeted to income-producing
commercial properties with specific activities in mind, including safety and
code violation upgrades, facade improvements, mechanical and fire suppression
systems, and accessibility. Successful applications will clearly show how the
subgrant program meets the economic development needs of the NHLD, by creating
a viable funding source for projects that are stagnant due to lack of capital
and/or inability to receive financing due to outdated building systems.
The purpose of the BSB Historic Revitalization Grant
Program Coordinator position is to
assist the BSB Historic Preservation Officer (and other
BSB Staff) in the development of the Butte-Silver Bow Historic Revitalization
Project subgrant program. Telework option is available for this position,
depending on experience. This contract will be billed hourly by the successful
candidate. Available funding is not to exceed $15,000.00.
