We are pleased to announce the 2025 grant recipients of the Preserving Black Churches (PBC) program, a project of the National Trust’s African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund.
Thirty churches nationwide will receive $8.5 million in funding, our largest PBC award to date, thanks to the support of our partners at the Lilly Endowment Inc.
These grant recipients represent the richness of the Black Church and the transformative role it has played across the country in shaping our collective history and culture.
These sacred spaces have shaped movements, fostered change, and provided refuge for generations. Now, with vital investments, their stories will endure, their voices will be amplified, and their impact will continue to inspire.
