Five to Revive Announced
Historic Preservation Blog from PreservationDirectory.com -

This is the eleventh year The Landmark Society of Western New York has announced the Five to Revive list to draw attention to key priorities for revitalization in western New York. The preservation movement is, at its heart, about the benefits preservation brings to people and communities. The Landmark Society first launched the Five to Revive program in 2013 to call attention to five properties in western New York that need investment. Whether buildings, structures, or landscapes, these properties are significant historic resources whose rehabilitations can become catalytic properties for the neighborhoods and communities that surround them. Eleven years after the launch of Five to Revive, the goal remains the return of these important historic resources to a place of prominence in their respective communities as social and economic assets that spark further investment and revitalization.

This year’s Five to Revive were announced at a press conference at Warner Castle on January 31st. They include:

- Vacuum Oil Site, City of Rochester, Monroe County
- Naples Memorial Town Hall, Village and Town of Naples, Ontario County
- Palmyra-Macedon Aqueduct, Town of Macedon and Village of Palmyra, Wayne County
- Warsaw Park Train Depot, Town of Warsaw, Wyoming County
- Grassroots Preservation Organizations, Thematic Listing
