Join Historic Tax Credit Advocacy Efforts With 1000 Actions in 100 Days Initiative
Historic Preservation Blog from PreservationDirectory.com -
Contributed By: Preservation Action

Preservation Action is teaming up with the Historic Tax Credit Coalition and other partners to strengthen and defend the Historic Tax Credit in 2025.

Following the November elections, Republicans will control the House, Senate, and Administration and are expected to hit the ground running on several priorities. One of Republicans top priorities will be passing a large tax package in the 119th Congress, likely through budget reconciliation. This provides a huge opportunity to enact long overdue improvements to the Historic Tax Credit. The voice of preservation advocates will be absolutely essential to make the case for enhancing the HTC, ensuring it doesn't get lost in the process, and fending off any potential threats to diminish the credit.

We are urging preservation advocates to join us in the effort for 1,000 interactions with members of Congress to improve the Historic Tax Credit in the first 100 days of the new Congress starting in January. It is imperative that all members of Congress, both Representatives and Senators, hear from preservation advocates as soon as the new Congress begins. This is especially true as we anticipate a new bipartisan bill to improve the HTC to be introduced within the first couple months of the new year.

Will you join us by taking action in the first 100 days? You can sign up for the effort here. By completing the form you will receive talking points, updates, and legislative staff contacts for your members of Congress to make it easy for you to take action! Stay tuned for more!
