The Delaware
Department of Transportation, Division of Transportation Solutions, Environmental
Stewardship has a vacancy for an Environmental Specialist II or III/Archaeologist,
based on years of supervisory experience. The
position will oversee consultants working within areas affected by DelDOT
projects. In addition, perform and manage Archaeological surveys including research,
fieldwork, laboratory work, and technical report writing. Duties also include
consultation efforts and documentation associated with Section 106 of the National
Historic Preservation Act. The applicant must be familiar with Cultural
Resource Management practices and budgets. Interested applicants must be in possession
of at least a master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related
field and have demonstrated knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic
Preservation Act and the implementing regulations under 36 CFR Part 800.
Position is a pay grade 13, starting
salary of $50,512.50 or pay grade 15, salary of $55,924.88. Interested candidates may view posting
