The
Department of Homeland Security is advertising for a GS-12/13 ($99,200 - $153,354 per year) Environmental
Protection Specialist with a primary focus on cultural resource and historic
preservation management and compliance. To qualify for this position,
applicants must demonstrate expertise in the fields of Architectural History,
Historic Architecture, History, or Historic Preservation with at least three
years of experience working with the National Historic Preservation Act.
Successful candidates should demonstrate experience working with various
stakeholders, State Historic Preservation Offices, Indian Tribes and Native
Hawai’ian organizations, and the public, making National Register of Historic
Places effect and eligibility determinations, and reviewing technical reports,
guidance, and policy.
This position will be telework eligible and is located in
Springfield, VA. The current operating posture is two days in-office per
pay period.
