The Delaware
Department of Transportation, Division of Transportation Solutions, Environmental
Stewardship has a vacancy for an Environmental Specialist III/Architectural
Historian. The position will perform and manage Historic
Architecture surveys within areas affected by DelDOT projects, coordinating
with environmental and engineering design staff. Primary tasks include: research,
fieldwork, analysis and evaluation, and technical report writing and reviewing.
Duties also include consultation efforts and documentation associated with
Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and Section 4(f) of the US
DOT Act. The applicant must be familiar with Cultural Resource Management
practices and be a SOI Qualified Professional for Architectural History. Interested
applicants must be in possession of at least a bachelor’s degree in
Historic Preservation, Architectural History, Art History, or closely related
field and have knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation
Act and the implementing regulations under 36 CFR Part 800.
Position is a pay grade 15 and starting
salary of $57,043.38. Interested
