Responsibilities
will consist of leading cultural resource projects done under federal, state,
and local guidelines, including managing projects, project teams and clients; agency
coordination; and business development activities, including proposals and
professional organization involvement. Will also include completing some
technical studies done under their research specialty (architectural history or
history. Preferred locations for this position would be Fredericksburg (VA), Columbia
(MD), Wilmington (DE) or Washington DC. However, we want to find the most
qualified person that can contribute to our team, and we are open to other
locations throughout the U.S. who have had notable mid-Atlantic experience. The
possibility of remote work may be available depending on candidate experience
and qualifications. A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required
no matter your location.
The
successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in historic preservation
or a related field such as history, architectural history, public history,
anthropology, archaeology; AND at least fourteen (14) years of relevant
experience
OR
Master’s degree in historic preservation
or related field such as history, architectural history, public history,
anthropology, archaeology; AND at least twelve (12) years of relevant
experience
AND
Meets Secretary of Interior Standards in
their respective field; and
Has a valid driver’s license
The
ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
Extensive knowledge of one of the
following two technical arenas: architectural history or history
Ability to guide clients on compliance
with National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and various state and local
regulations, preferably in the mid-Atlantic
Consultation with agencies and consulting
parties
Project management experience, including
leading a team, client management, and adhering to schedule and budget

Starting Salary Range: $95,000-$135,000
