"Tampa Underground"

Tampa Historical Society, Inc. presents a month-long program focusing on the historic cemeteries - their maintenance, restoration, preservations, and interpretation - of Tampa, Florida. Program includes guided tours of historic cemeteries, a scholarly symposium on historic cemetery preservation, a Victorian "Mourning Tea" with lectures on nineteenth century bereavement and memorialization customs, and a fundraiser - "The Gravediggers Ball" - to raise both awareness and funds for historic cemetery preservation locally.
