May 7, 2016
Mother’s Day Tea Featuring American Girl Author Denise Lewis Patrick
Join us to celebrate Mother’s Day with an elegant tea party in the luscious garden of The Hermitage. Featuring American Girl author Denise Lewis Patrick, who will introduce her brand new character: Melody! This family-friendly event will include a seated tea and hors d’oeurve served amongst the garden’s blooming flowers, featuring live music. Following the tea, Ms. Patrick will offer a special talk for all ages about her new character and the process of bringing history to life with American Girl. Following her talk, Ms. Patrick will be available to sign copies of books and speak with guests. Crafts and activities will also be available for all ages to enjoy. Dolls are welcome to join in the fun! As a special treat, The Hermitage will be giving away a FREE American Girl Melody Doll and 2 copies of the first book, No Ordinary Sound, at each tea party! All mothers will also receive a special take-home gift. All event tickets must be bought in advance online or at the ticket office. Admission to the event does not include general admission to The Hermitage. Horse-drawn wagon ride tours of The Hermitage will also available before and after the event. Tickets must be purchased separately, and guests will receive a special $1.00 off coupon when they arrive.
