On Tues., June 24th, the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will host Keith Snedecor, a descendant of the family who founded the Snedecor Inn, later the South Shore Sportsmen's Club.  Mr. Snedecor will present the story of how an 18th century house grew from a stagecoach stop and Inn to eventually becoming the wealthiest Club, boasting membership of the Carnegies, Tiffany's, Vanderbilt's as well as others.  Come hear the fascinating stories!  The program will be held at the Islip Public Library, 71 Monell Avenue, 7-9 pm, is free and open to the public.  For more info: www.isliphamlethistory.org, 631-559-2915
