The Mid-West Tool Collectors Association is pleased to announce the formation of the John and Janet Wells Preservation and Restoration Scholarship. The scholarship award is open to graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in programs that preserve and restore historical sites, programs that instruct students in the skills and use of tools that were used by the original craftsmen in creating these historical treasures and programs that promote the importance of historical architecture styles in their influence on American culture.
The scholarship is a one time award of $3,000 and interested applicants may find further information about the application process by going to the M-WTCA web site at www.mwtca.org
The Mid-West Tool Collectors Association is an organization of about 3,800 members whose purpose is to promote the preservation and study of antique and traditional tools, implements, and devices of the trade, farm and shop. We study the way the tools were used and the individuals that developed them and then communicate this knowledge to the public.
