The new year brings new grant opportunities! Two Preservation League grants are outlined here, but you can visit the link below for more.

Technical Assistance Grants (TAG)
The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and the Preservation League of NYS, with support from the Maurice D. Hinchey Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area, Hudson River Valley Greenway, and the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation, are offering Technical Assistance Grants (TAG) to NYS nonprofits and municipalities. These grants, providing up to $4,000 with a required 20% project cost match, support planning studies and analyses of historic resources serving an arts or cultural purpose. Eligible applicants must own or hold long-term leases on buildings such as historic sites, museums, or arts facilities that are open to the public. TAG funds consulting reports prepared by architects, engineers, or preservation professionals.

Preserve New York (PNY) Grants
A partnership of the New York State Council on the Arts and The Preservation League of NYS, Preserve New York makes grants for historic structure reports, building condition reports, cultural landscape reports, and cultural resource surveys. PNY Grants are open to 501(c)(3) arts/cultural organizations located in New York State. Municipalities (units of local government) are welcome to submit applications to support Cultural Resource Surveys only. The program provides support for up to 80% of the project cost. Applicants must provide 20% of the total project cost as a cash match. A PNY grant award may go up to $20,000.
