New Job Opportunity available as ‘Visitor Services Facilitator’ - Live 18th Century living history, immerse yourself in nature, develop museum exhibits, guide students and volunteers and share your passion with others through educational programs.


The Conococheague Institute a Non Profit Museum and Gardens in Franklin County PA, is looking for a passionate employee to increase the visitor’s experience of its unique cultural and natural resources.

The Visitor Services Facilitator will have an incredible opportunity to educate the public on America's early Colonial History in an engaging and dynamic atmosphere. 
They will be responsible for all areas of the organization's visitor experience from hands-on educational programs, exhibit development, team and volunteer coordination, publicity and events and more.

This position will provide a work experience like no other. Research and development of new exhibits using period artifacts and performing 18th Century living history crafts and programs from the Cabins. Preserving history from two different ends of the spectrum!

With a unique story of 18th Century Life, our story features Women and Men, Enslaved People, Native Americans, as well as Welsh, English, Scotch-Irish and German Residents. As such the applicant would have a wide array of stories to portray.

In order to ensure the Visitor has a safe and enjoyable visit, the Visitor Services Facilitator other duties will involve standard cleaning and maintenance of the buildings, as well as behind the scene programming development and other duties as assigned.

The Visitor Services Facilitator will also provide critical leadership and direction for a close knit team of part time staff, volunteers, interns and students to better achieve CI’s mission.

Organizing interpretive supplies, maintaining volunteer databases, acting as a liaison between schools and program partners and attending outreach events are just another part of this important role.

Job Type: Annual Full Time (24-40 hrs per week, dependent on applicant) Pay $17 an hour
