Salary range: $63,556.00 - $98,523.00/year

The Capital Programs Administrator will oversee the management of our three capital grant and loan programs - the African American Heritage Preservation Program, the Historic Preservation Capital Grant Program, and the Historic Preservation Loan Program - and will directly administer rehabilitation projects under these programs. This position will also staff the Governor’s Commission on Maryland’s Military Monuments (MMMC.) This supervisory position requires a high level of technical preservation knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy, experience with public speaking, and familiarity with legal and contractual issues. If you are a motivated and self-directed professional, interested in a position that will get you out from behind your desk to assist real bricks-and-mortar rehabilitation projects and to advance the cause of preservation on the ground in our communities, this is the job for you!

The Maryland Historical Trust is the state agency dedicated to preserving and interpreting the legacy of Maryland’s past. Through research, conservation and education, the Maryland Historical Trust assists the people of Maryland in understanding their historical and cultural heritage. Part of the Maryland Department of Planning, the Maryland Historical Trust serves as Maryland’s State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
