Dade Heritage Trust presents Miami Preserves—the podcast where we explore historic places in Miami, FL and what it means to preserve our history.
In the first season, we focus on Miami history and preservation through the lens of African American historic sites. Scholars and historians share what it was like during segregation in Miami. You’ll hear from teachers and students and how they are navigating changes in Florida education—like censorship and expansion of parental rights.
In the end, we’ll try to make sense of preservation in a city that is so development oriented like Miami.
