Florida, for two days of AIA CEU education, architectural tours, and networking
at the renown Moorish Revival Casa Monica Hotel, March 25 to 26, 2025!
St. Augustine is the oldest
continuously inhabited city in the continental U.S with 500 years of
interesting architectural history. Traditional Building Conference
architectural tours will include the historic coastal fort, Castillo San Marcos,
the Moorish Revival Flagler College, the 1723 Gonzolez-Alvarez House (also
called the “oldest house”); and the Spanish Quarter. There will be a “Hand
Drawing Walking Tour” with plenty of classical buildings to sketch!
Education topics include “Climate Response
Lessons from Traditional Architecture,” “Creative Adaptive Use in Historic
Settings,” “Materials and Methods for Traditional Building,” St Augustine’s
Architectural Heritage,” and “Navigating Preservation and Planning
Commissions.” Earn up to 10 AIA Continuing Education Credits, mostly HSW.
