Jefferson’s Curiosities Series: Jefferson & The Virginia Wine Industry

Thomas Jefferson was a man whose varied interests included math, astronomy, botany, architecture, the arts, literature, viniculture, philosophy and music. The second talk in the new Curiosities Series features Christine Vrooman of Ankida Ridge Winery who joins Poplar Forest to explore one of Jefferson’s most famous passions: wine. Enjoy a discussion of Jefferson’s wine preferences, and how they changed throughout his life and his attempts to begin the Virginia wine industry, also learn about the state’s industry today. A wine and cheese reception follows the presentation. Tickets are $25 per person, per talk, or $80 per person for all four Curiosities Series talks.
