SLEEPING BEAUTY
Saturday, March 8 | 6:30 to 8:30 pm

Celebrate the timeless magic of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. This landmark film introduced a groundbreaking artistic style that drew inspiration from medieval art and architecture. With its bold, stylized visuals created by Eyvind Earle, Sleeping Beauty stands apart from earlier Disney films in its use of geometry and design. Meredith Cohen, Medieval Architectural Historian, will lead a presentation exploring the unique artistic influences behind the film’s fantastical world and how its medieval aesthetic reflects both historical and cultural narratives.
